Charities, Sponsors & Support

The Rainford 10K raises funds for various charities.

The Compassionate Friends

TCF offers many different kinds of support for bereaved families. Whatever the cause of your loss, wherever you are in the UK, and whatever your circumstances – they are there to help.

Henshaws is an organization that supports people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities to achieve their ambitions and to go beyond expectations

Sponsors & Supporters

The Rainford 10K is supported and sponsored by a number of organizations. Without this sponsorship and support the event would be simply not possible.

O2 Business Centre Rainford

Offering financial and promotional support to the Rainford 10K, the event would simply not be possible without our main sponsor; O2 Business Centre Rainford.

 Rainford High Technology College

Rainford High play a huge part in the success of the Rainford 10K. They kindly offer use of their facilities to host the event, assist with the production of promotional materials and support the event in the form of student volunteers and marshals.

Steve Prescott Foundation

The Steve Prescott foundation was setup by Steve Prescott in 2007, shortly after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. He aimed to raise money for charities close to his heart and the foundation continues his legacy by continuing to support and organise money raising events.

Alpine Podiatry Practice

As well as essential financial and promotional support, Alpine podiatry provide the George Faulkner Memorial Cup that is presented to the winner of the Rainford 10K race.

Berrington Hall Golf and Country Club

The Rainford 10K route follows Berrington’s lane, right through the centre of the golf course (although not through any holes!) and then up through the carpark and past Berrington Hall itself. The event simply wouldn’t be possible without Berrington Hall’s kind accommodation.

Sands is the stillbirth and neonatal death charity. We operate throughout the UK, supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby, working to improve the care bereaved parents receive, and promoting research to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
